Before you start or edit a page, please read and follow the below Standards and Guidelines.

[edit] Pages
Pages are individual pages of information. They should link somewhere!
[edit] New Pages
- Before starting a new page, do a search. What you are trying to add may already be out there under a different title.
- If you do need a new page, look for similar pages. Use them as a template for yours. This increases continuity of style and might give you some other ideas for your page.
- No orphaned pages: Your pages should link to/from somewhere. If you use the name of a Place, God, PC, Player, DM, Monkey, or anything else, it may have a page. Open another window, search, then link! If the page you are creating should be linked to off of other pages, go to them and create appropriate links.
- No uncategorized pages: Every page on the Wiki should belong to a Category. Do a search or click here for a list of existing Categories. Find the most appropriate one and tag it. Use the Help page here on on Wikipedia for more info on how.
[edit] Editing pages
- Same rules apply as a New Page.
- If you see a typo, edit and fix it please.
- If you are adding or correcting content, please double check for accuracy first.
- Do not edit other users User or PC pages for content. Only editing to create/fix links or fix typos is appropriate.
- If you aren't sure if you should edit, contact the WikiGanoom by PMing Chas'nor on the Forums.
[edit] Dead or Unneeded Pages
- Place dead, unneeded, unwanted, or other just plain bad pages in Category:Candidates for Deletion.
[edit] Categories
- All pages should belong to one!
- If you don't see the Category you need, contact the WikiGanoom by PMing Chas'nor on the Forums or another member of the Team. We'll create one for you in the right spot. Tell us what page you want in it also.
[edit] Links
- All pages should have links
- Don't overlink. If you are using the same word 10 times on your page, link it once per paragraph or section. A solid blue page is hard on the eyes.
- Don't fear linking blank pages, but don't over-do it either. If you feel a page should exist, link it. Do the WikiGanoom a favor and add some content to the new page if you can though.
- Verify your links. Preview pages before saving and test outside links. Interior Wiki links will tell you right away if they are bad by turning Red. Blue links are good links.
[edit] InterWiki Links
- To InterWiki link to the NWN2 Wiki, use nwn2: as a prefix for your link. Example code would be [[nwn2:Barbarian|Barbarian]].
[edit] Style
- Try to keep the style of your page similar to pages with similar content.
- Many page types have Templates, PCs for example. Use Templates if they exist, they make for a nice clean look.
- Keep paragraphs fairly short, use Sections like this page, don't let things bunch up.
[edit] Images
- Feel free to add an image to your page.
- Upload the smallest/lowest resolution of your file acceptable. Help us save space and ease load times for others.
